The Crossroads approach is built on the conviction that all areas of Christian life, ministry, and practice must be based on sound and clearly established Biblical doctrine, particularly as understood from a fundamentalist Pentecostal framework. Theology is not treated as one subject among many, but as the governing foundation from which all other Christian disciplines must flow. This includes ministry practice, leadership, Pastoral care, and any engagement with wider fields such as missionary work. According to this model, doctrine is not secondary or supportive, but primary, and should ensure that every expression of ministry is shaped through, and undergirded by, the foundation of Biblical truth. Accordingly, Crossroads maintains that ongoing development in foundational Pentecostal theology is essential so that all subsequent ministry is properly theologically grounded.
